About Dr. Williams
Dr. Cheryl Williams is a human service worker with over 20 years' experience who specializes in assisting youth and families with home-based and wraparound services. In March 2018, Cheryl graduated from Capella University with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Human Services with a core specialization in Social and Community environment. The title of her dissertation is: A Study of Single Mothers’ persistence to degree completion.

Cheryl has excellent familiarity with local referral sources and service coordinators in the Tidewater area in Virginia. Cheryl has also had a plethora of clients ranging from mental illnesses such as bi-polar disorder, manic depression, substance abuse & addiction, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Anxiety, Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD) and much more.

Cheryl is a strong believer in the power of positive influences and having clients think outside of the box in order to accomplish overt goals. She regularly yearns for different approaches to accommodate her families to dissect their areas of concerns from a coaching approach. Cheryl enjoys attending seminars to advance her knowledge in the mental health field but can also be found reading a good book, doing physical activities and traveling.
